The
edited cells don’t seem to have been edited in the right way. He
planned to delete a small section of the CCR5 gene, mimicking a
naturally occurring mutation called delta 32 that’s found in about 10
percent of Europeans. But according to Sean Ryder, a biochemist from the
University of Massachusetts Medical School, He’s slides show no sign of
delta 32 in either girl.

new study from MIT suggests that combining kinase inhibitors with
experimental drugs known as ribonucleases could lead to better results.
In tests with human cancer cells, the researchers found that the two
drugs given together kill cells much more effectively than either drug

Textured
breast prostheses will continue to be offered to women who need
anatomically shaped prostheses. The current strategy is to discuss the
risk of ALCL without causing unnecessary anxiety. Absolute risks remain
low. No professional body or regulator has recommended that textured
implants need to be removed prophylactically.
